Cynthia Dowling, LMFT
Cindy Dowling, MA, LMFT is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Integrity Counseling Services and has worked in the field of psychology for 15 years. She earned her master’s degree from La Salle University with a focus in marriage and family therapy. Cindy has experience working in private practice, teaching undergraduate psychology, and as a family-based therapist. She is committed to helping individuals, couples and families learn how to break unhealthy patterns and communicate effectively. Her work focuses on seeing the struggles in one’s life through the context of their relationships. She believes individuals are shaped through their life experiences, and those life lessons influence much of how one presents in other relationships.
Cindy is passionate about working with her clients. Together they set clear goals as she guides her clients to discover their innate skills to reach those objectives. She works with couples and families, providing a safe and neutral space to express emotions, promoting compassion for each person, and helping each individual feel heard. Cindy helps her clients identify negative patterns and find new, more productive paths to manage conflict and navigate future issues as they arise. She is also passionate about assisting premarital couples prepare for a lifelong healthy marriage.
As a practicing Catholic, Cindy feels that faith is an important component to the therapeutic process. Raised Catholic, she is married and the mother of five daughters.
